Nathalie is interested in what determines the range limits of alpine flora in North America and Europe, specifically how spatial patterning, microhabitats, and metapopulation processes play a role. A greater understanding of range limits will allow us to predict how these fragile ecosystems will respond to changing climate, and will thus better inform conservation policy.Disciplines: Plant/vegetation ecology
