Abstract

The goal of this report is to guide the development, analysis, and interpretation of climate data to address questions relating park resources and climate. The objectives of this report are then:(1) To lay out a methodology for developing research-grade climate datasets appropriate for resource management science.(2) To introduce the array of analysis techniques available for answering questions we often ask regarding climate dynamics and their interaction with landscape processes. The report provides detailed information on establishing goals for climate reporting, for processing data prior to conducting an analysis (e.g., QA/QC), and on analysing climate data for specific purposes.
